Muck Boot Company Apex Mid Zip Review

Now, it’s no question that we are fans of The Original Muck Boot Company.  We have been wearing these boots for going on 20 plus years and they stand the test of time.  Generally though our choice of wearing Muck Boots is generally kept to the field, hunting, campging or around the farm, that is until now.  The Muck Boot Company has released the Apex Mid Zip.  The Apex Mid Zip is the first boot that we can put on and wear in the field and also take to town.

Now we are not suggesting you take these to the local honkeytonk on a Friday night with the significant other, but they are good enough to run around town. You can wear these on a trip to the local nursery, pet food store, grocery store and such or even into the office.  These are also boots that will work for an afternoon archery hunt or a run and gun turkey hunt. You could even use them on an early morning elk hunt.

We really liked the ease of being able to step into these boots and for any of the folks who are older and having issues removing boots from tired feet and legs, the velco and zip on these are exceptional for individuals to unzip these boots and literally just step out of them.  These are made for men and women with two different versions and we are holding out hope that a children’s line is in the works for some time in the future.

The coloring on these is basic black, brown, green or camo but they look good enough to wear into the city and we have already picked up a pair for our 23 year old son who likes to bike in the winter.  These are 100% waterproof and these seemed to breath, a little better than full size boots.  They hold an EVA midsole for comfort and are good enough for trail work and rocky surfaces.  The Mid Apex Zip is also good for those who need a little more support for the ankles as these fit a little more secure than taller boots.  The upper lock on these keeps bugs, stickers and rocks out of the boots.

The run-away favorite in these boots is the zip and ease of taking them on and off, coupled with all day comfort these are a welcome addition to the mud room around our house.  Early morning dog walks in the early morning wet grass has never been better because,  I don’t have to worry about wet shoes and I can slip these off and get the pup all set.  Check these out at Muckbootcompany.com.
