The U.S. Concealed Carry Association Talks National Concealed Carry Reciprocity With U.S. Representative Richard Hudson (R-NC)

West Bend, WI – U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) President and Founder Tim Schmidt sat down with North Carolina Congressman Richard Hudson (R), the chief sponsor of H.R. 38, the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act.  Hudson discussed with Schmidt how he became a defender of the Second Amendment, how and why he decided to take up the cause of national concealed carry reciprocity, the anti-gun bills attacking the Second Amendment, teaching his son about gun safety and more.

“The USCCA is thankful to have Congressman Hudson on the frontlines of this important debate as a staunch champion of this effort to ensure Americans can protect themselves and their families at all times.  The need for national concealed carry reciprocity is more important than ever as millions of new gun owners are awakened to their right to self-defense,” said Tim Schmidt, President and Founder of the U.S. Concealed Carry Association.  “No law-abiding American should be criminalized for simply choosing to be their family’s first line of defense.  We look forward to continuing our work with Congressman Hudson to combat the implementation of misguided gun control policies that do little to protect our natural-born right to self-defense.”

The USCCA has been a longtime supporter of concealed carry reciprocity, most recently launching an online petition that garnered over 100,000 signatures so far in favor of H.R.38.  Schmidt also penned two op-eds in The Hill newspaper as well as Townhall.com recently in which he outlined the importance of Congress finally addressing concealed carry reciprocity instead of more failed anti-gun laws.  In addition, Schmidt joined Newsmax TV and penned a letter to President Biden on behalf of more than 560,000 USCCA members expressing the importance of national concealed carry reciprocity and protecting gun rights for all Americans.
