This Week on HSCF’s “Hunting Matters” Radio & Podcast: Barret Simpson Of Conroe Taxidermy

(Houston, TX- September 3, 2020) Houston Safari Club Foundation (HSCF) and “Hunting Matters” welcomes Barret Simpson,  co-owner and General Manager of Conroe Taxidermy, one of the largest taxidermy shops in the nation.

Barret has been involved from receiving to installation for over 30 years. Barret has traveled extensively across the globe – both as a guide and a hunter.  He has also taken his expertise to various museums – including The Ark Encounter in Kentucky, The Houston Museum of Natural Science and The Wildlife Museum of San Juan in Puerto Rico, just to name a few.

His passion is trophy room design.  Barret is always looking to expand the offerings of Conroe Taxidermy to make the most of any space for the avid hunter.  Some of his unique ideas come in the form of trees, mountains, and most recently the night sky.  Working with craftsman to make these ideas a reality is where most of his time is spent.

He is currently moving around the state, meeting ranch owners and managers, working to keep hunting alive and well in spite of the global pandemic.

“Hunting Matters” airs each Saturday from 6am-7am CST on KPRC AM 950 – Real Texas, Real Talk, a Houston iHeartMedia station, and Houston’s longest running radio station. Listen live online here. You may also listen to each episode as a podcast, following live airing, on most major podcast platforms including iTunes, the Apple Podcasts, the IHeartMedia, Google, Overcast, and Spreaker.
