Going hog hunting in August, myself and 3 friends. Been deer hunting twice but that was years ago, the other people in our group are in the same boat. What would you guys recommend as far as gear besides guns that would be useful. Or any tips from anyone that’s taken a hog before has would be great. Been throwing a few hog vitals targets up on our range in with regular ones for practice hitting vitals consistently. Wouldn’t mind hearing opinions on caliber choice either, some people I’ve talked to have said 6.5cm isn’t a big enough round others have said its plenty. Would really like to use my 6.5 but also have my 45-70 as a back up which I know will do the job.
